One of the things I love about the PowerShell Community is the innovative ideas that come up. Dimitry Sotnikov, from Quest, posted a really neat blog article that shows how to run PowerShell scripts from Outlook email.
Basically, this is done by setting up a rule in Outlook that detects a specially coded email (e.g. a subject header containing “PowerShell” or similar). The rule then runs a VBScript script which in turn runs the PowerShell script.
Just when you think you’ve seen it all, the community delights and surprises.
